This summer we went to Squirrel Wood campsite in Doncaster for our troop camp. We took part in rock climbing, caving, archery, canoeing, gorge walking and even visited Flamingo Land theme park which was the highlight of the camp followed by Domino’s pizza!
The scouts also worked on their adventure challenge and outdoor challenges. We had the usual traditional camp cooking all done on open fires with some magnificent cooks being awarded their chef badges.
We also did work on the skills challenge by running a camp trading post and also held a camp fire on the last night the rain didn’t stop us! We had 13 scouts and 11 explorers attend this year with 3 scouts achieving their Chief Scout Gold Award.
